Transport Shift Manager

Job Summary

Our client is a one of the UKs leading food service companies, responsible for a several distribution sites throughout the UK. They are committed to providing caterers throughout the UK with the highest quality products as well as a seamless delivery experience. Their experienced teams operate out of 4 sites UK wide, with the site in Essex boasting a fleet of 39 vehicles. They pride themselves on their food, their service and their people.

Role Responsibilities

• Ensure the accurate despatch of all delivery vehicles
• Running a fantastic distribution site
• Leading and developing a team
• Motivating your team, driving passion for an exceptional customer service
• Instil a companywide culture of efficiency and quality
• Ensure excellent Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards at all times
• React to route changes and problems with confidence and authority
• Responsible for an average of 31 routes per day

The Ideal Candidate

• An experienced transport shift manager preferably from a food or parcel delivery background
• Able to demonstrate a genuine passion for delivering great service
• A real self-starter with tonnes of enthusiasm and a sense of individuality
• A supportive leader who has a passion for managing and developing their team of drivers
• A genuine passion for food and customer focused service
• Comfortable in upholding Health and Safety, Compliance and Cost standards
• CPC Qualified - desirable
• Solutions driven with the ability to think and work under pressure with time constraints

The Rewards
