Due to continued growth, they are now looking for an experienced Customs Compliance Manager to take ownership of customs compliance and international trade activities across the business. Customs Compliance Manager – Requirements
- Proven experience in customs compliance, customs brokerage, or international trade
- Must hold a valid Customs Broker License
- Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations
- Experience with HTS classification, customs valuation, country of origin, duties, and tariffs
- Good understanding of import and export procedures and documentation
- Experience with customs audits, risk assessments, and compliance controls
- Knowledge of trade restrictions, sanctions, and export controls
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator with the ability to work with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, or other trade partners
Customs Compliance Manager – Responsibilities
- Take ownership of customs compliance across the business
- Ensure import and export activities meet all relevant regulatory requirements
- Manage HTS classification, valuation, country of origin, duties, and tariff requirements
- Review customs entries and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Conduct customs audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews
- Identify and resolve customs discrepancies and compliance issues
- Keep the business up to date with changes to customs regulations and international trade requirements
- Manage relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and relevant authorities
- Provide practical customs guidance and training to internal teams
- Develop and improve customs policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce risk, and optimise customs costs
- Report on customs compliance performance and key risks to senior management
